A compute unit (CU) is a measure of the requests needed to query computationally expensive API endpoints.
Each request has a price and rate limit cost that is measured in compute units.
It’s important to note that some APIs have dynamic pricing that will cost more compute units the more inputs you add for the request.

Note that Business Plan compute units and records have higher extra usage charges. This is due to the increased cost of providing premium features and high-priority reliable data as part of the Business Plan.
The Streams API allows you to stream blockchain data into your backend via webhooks. You can listen to wallet and contract events, and get the data streamed to your backend directly in real-time. Check out our documentation on the Streams API for more details and read our FAQs.
You can create up to 20 streams on a Starter plan and up to 200 streams with a Pro, Business, or Enterprise plan. You can add multiple addresses to a single stream configuration.
If you need a higher Streams limit, contact our support team at [email protected]. We can support an unlimited number of streams.
Streams can use different amounts of records depending on the filters, settings, and number of addresses you are following.
The Starter plan includes 300 daily records and a total of 10,000 records per month. Pro and Business plans include 50,000 records per month, and Premium plans can have a custom amount of included records depending on your contract.
For a detailed explanation of records and pricing, read our docs.
If you have the Pro, Business, or Premium plan, you can continue to use Streams and APIs even if you exceed your plan’s limit. We will automatically scale your service and charge per million extra API compute units and/or per 10k extra Streams records. Automatic scaling charges vary by plan.
The Starter plan has daily limits. If you hit your daily limits, you can either wait for them to reset, or upgrade your plan to increase your limits instantly.
